Carrot Apple Ginger Beet and sometimes Orange
This and variations on this juice is a favorite here at our house. Sometimes I omit the orange and add a handful of cilantro. My husband prefers sans orange. I Also sometimes sub a lemon for the orange to add a tart, bright finish. One of the most common questions I get asked is "What kind of juicer should I get?" I have 2 - one is a an oldschool masticating juicer by Omega. I prefer this one to my centrifugal one because although it's slower, it's more efficient and gives off less heat.
- 6 large carrots
- 4 apples (I like Fuji)
- 1/2 red beet
- 1 knob of ginger (about 2")
- 1 large orange or lemon
- 1 handful of cilantro (if you like)
- Cut up, feed through your juicer, stir, and enjoy!
